Based on the Total Qty that you need and each Width Size.

The above retractable outdoor sun shade shade pricing is based on a Total Quantity. If you are looking for three installed retractable sun shades of any size, then the pricing column you would use to get that pricing is the Installed Qty 2-3 column. The pricing is based on "up to the next size" up to widths, meaning if you require pricing for a 100" solar shade, you will use the 108" row pricing. My retractable patio screens are broken down by two categories, a 85" drop for 8' ceilings and a 99" drop for 10' ceilings. These prices include a measure trip to the home, materials to make the roller sun shades, manufacturing of the exterior solar shades, delivery to the home, installation of the outdoor sun shades and sales-tax. These are "all in" total out of pocket costs.

Question : My ceiling is 8', but from the ceiling to the floor measures 96", should I not get the 99" drop roll up outdoor patio shades? I want my outside shades to drop all the way to the floor, can I do that?
& Answer : These outdoor porch and patio roll up solar shades will need to drop to 24" from the floor. It is not necessary to drop the outdoor roll down shades all the way down to the ground. By doing so you WILL drastically reduce the airflow. You will want that 24" spacing between the bottom of the outdoor roller shade and the floor for air movement. Once we receive this deposit, we will email you a date that we will swing by your home to get precise build measurements for the retractable roll shades. Our process does not require anyone to be home. Our current route schedule will be displayed. $50 Measure Deposit
Question : Are there some manual outdoor rollup shade projects that you won't take on? If so, is the $50 deposit refundable
& Answer : Certainly, if it is a situation where I can not install my roll up patio shades because of height, mounting issues, any number of things, the deposit is 100% refundable. The deposit is not refundable if when I get there you think this is for a motorized roller shade or you think these outdoor roller shades are something that can be sealed to keep bugs outs. I make every attempt to in detail explain everything about my Austin patio blinds here so there should be no ambiguity or misunderstandings. I actually now require pictures be submitted to me of the patio before I even put the home on my route to drive over there so that I can qualify it first as a project that I can do. Question : I see that you have exterior solar shades for patios and porches, but do you also make commercial window shades or residential roll up solar shades?
& Answer : I do not make roll up shades for residential windows, however, I do make and install my own line of interior commercial roller shades.

Question : How do your outdoor sun shades mount? How do you install your custom manual roll up patio shades?

Question : Are your outdoor roller shades motorized? How does one control, roll up and down, your outdoor patio screens?
& Answer : My roll up patio screens are controlled by a made in USA pull chain clutch. There are two clutches, one that has a pull rating of 36lbs and the other with a pull rating of 56 lbs. Our clutches are made by Acemdia Rollease. Question : Will your patio solar shades keep the flying insects and bugs out?
& Answer : No, my patio outdoor patio blinds are only meant to provide temporary sunshade from the sun. If you want bug protection, you are going to want to find an outdoor blinds for porch product called a zippertrack system. That would be a system where the exterior blinds would have a zipper glued to the left and right sides of the fabric that slide into a track on the sides of the exterior blinds.
Question : How much shade can I expect to get from your manual chain-driven exterior sun shades? Will your patio blinds make my back patio bearable during the Summer?
& Answer : My exterior roller shades for the patio will provide an immense amount of shade, 97% sunshade. I can also build the porch shades out of my 90% shade fabric that I make my solar window screens out of. There is a huge difference in solar shade going from 90% to 97%, it's a 70% improvement from 90% to 97% in shade. The downside, if you can even call it that, is that the 97% fabric restricts airflow because it is so dense. This is why you only drop the porch shades down to 24" from the ground, to allow airflow (lite breezes) to blow into your patio.

Question : I want to shade the windows and back patio, can I use your patio sun shades for that purpose?
& Answer : No, my patio sun shades are meant to be used for temporary shade. To be taken down when you need them, and rolled back up when you do not need them. My patio sun shades are not designed to be left down all day long. And especially not at night when it's considerably windier. That's what the very well constructed but expensive zippertrack patio sun screen systems are for. They are about 7x to 10x the cost of my budget-minded patio sun screens. My budget-minded outdoor patio shade screens are very effective at what they do, provide shade, but the wind is not their friend. For longevity, you will want to roll my sun shades for the patio down when you are on the patio and then back up when you are no longer on the patio needing them. Not that my sun shades for patio can not handle the wind, because they can. It's just that the wind can be very strong, and my 97% fabric is 3% shy of 100% which is what you have on a sailboat. Question : What keeps the retractable patio screens from blowing around in the wind? How do the retractable sun shades stay in place?
& Answer : I build my sun blocking shades with bungee tie-downs in the bottom corners. These bungee tie-downs loop around hooks we put in the walls. The bungee allows for the sun shade itself to flex and move with the wind. This helps to reduce the stress put on the clutch that keeps the fabric from pulling off of the tube the fabric is rolled around. The clutch is geared so that the fabric will not come off of the tube unless the chain is pulled. The clutches are made up of springs and gears and those can give and strip with a lot of pressure, which is one reason why we use the bungee to allow for the fabric to flex and move in the wind to not put pressure on those gears and springs. Question : Can we see through your sun shades for decks? Will your retractable shades give us privacy under our patio?
& Answer : It is incredible how well during the day you can see through my 97% porch blinds from the inside looking out. However, during the day people from the outside (aka your neighbors) CAN NOT see through the fabric, to see in your back patio or porch. Question : How does your sun shades for decks and patio pricing compare to others? To zippertrack motorized outdoor shades, how does your pricing compare?
& Answer : I tell people all the time that call me that the zippertrack motorized solar shades are wonderful products. They are very well made and very durable. My exterior sun shades are more economic, they are for the budget-minded consumer. My manual roller shades are roughly 1/10th of the zippertrack motorized roller shade pricing. I tell people often that I am whom you turn to when you get sticker shock from the cost of the motorized zipper track systems. I manufacturer all of my own manual outdoor roller shades right here in Austin TX, so my pricing is VERY HARD to beat. I cut out all middle man costs and all shipping costs which my competitors have to accrue to get their outdoor shades here because there are no other outdoor sun shade manufacturers here in Austin Texas that I am aware of.

Question : I have an outdoor enclosed porch, can these be used as porch blinds? I am looking for porch shades, will your outdoor shades work? How will you install your outdoor blinds for the porch on the inside or the outside?
& Answer : My porch sun shades are a perfect complement to any patio screen enclosure. My outdoor shades for the porch can not be used for bug protection, that is why you fully enclose your porch and patio with insect bug screens. If you already have an enclosed porch or patio and are looking for outdoor blinds for the porch to provide sun shade, then my product is perfect. For the inside of your structure screen porch shades will provide solar sunshade.
