For this Cedar Park solar screens installation, we used or 90% chocolate brown solar screen fabric for the windows and for the exterior roller shade.
For this Cedar Park Texas home we installed a total 13 solar window screens and one exterior patio roller shade.
The total cost to complete this Cedar Park Texas solar window screens installation was $1,196.
The following picture shows 90% solar screens. The back of this home is West facing, so we used or denser 90% solar screens.
For these windows here under the back patio we used our 80% solar screen fabric. This side of the home does not get the harsh afternoon sun.
And we installed a solar window screen on the back patio door.
The solar screen installation method that we use to install the solar screens was that we direct screwed them. Taking our solar screens to the outer edge of the window frame we used very small, non-intrusive, three quarter inch screws to screw to the window frame.
It’s only the back of the home that gets the harsh afternoon sun, therefore we used the 90% fabric for the back of the home.

Using an exterior roller shade for the patio.
In addition to the solar window screens for this Cedar Park installation, we installed an exterior patio screen technically referred to as a roller shade.
This exterior patio roller shade of ours runs from post to post. We made it out of the same solar screen fabric that we use to make our solar window screens out of. Chocolate 90% solar screen fabric. To provide 90% shade.
This is a great picture to show you what it looks like looking out the 90% fabric.
People also are worried about outward visibility. Looking through solar screens. This picture here is really great as it shows to the left and right of the post no fabric, and in between the posts, the 90% fabric.
Out with Costco outdoor roller shades and in with Joshhobbs.com.
This Cedar Park Texas homeowner previously had some low cost costco patio roller shades. Those Costco patio blinds degraded on him. They fell apart. With our patio roller shades, they are built to last. We know, because we make them ourselves. We make them out of Rollease made in America parts right here in Austin TX.
Other solar screen installs from around the area.
The solar screen installed here for this Pflugerville Texas window was similarly installed, by using the direct screw method. By direct screwing the solar screen to the outer edge of the vinyl window frame. The same as the above Cedar Park solar screen installation. This is a fine example to see what it looks like to use a tan framed solar screen on top of a white framed window. This window is white and the solar screen was made using tan framing.
Here’s a Round Rock Texas solar screens installation. This home we put the solar screens on all the windows except for those under the back patio.
