*[#3495] For this Austin solar screen installation, we installed 12 solar screens totaling 962 inches. We upgraded all 12 of the solar screens to the 90 percent solar screen fabric.
We used the chocolate fabric with tan frame.
We installed the solar screens on the front and right side of the home. This home was located in the Mueller Airport subdivision. The types of windows that this customer has are vinyl windows. Click here for our vinyl window direct screw installation illustration.
All solar screens mounted to vinyl windows are direct screwed. We can not use the turn clips on/for vinyl windows as the turn clips can not be torqued down tight enough to hold over time. The only way to adhere a solar screen to a vinyl window that ensures the screen will stay on/against the window in place through the years of rough elements (wind, rain and sun) is by direct screwing the solar screens to the window’s vinyl framing.
The color of the vinyl window framing is tan. Therefore, we used the tan framing for our solar screens. The color combination works very well on this home.
